This photo is of an old metal toy locomotive. It has a very solid look to it and held up well over the years.

This series showcases a number of old toys that I have picked up in Nebraska at various, yard sales and auctions. One common theme is that these toys were USED - likely by generations of children who played them well after the paint wore off. I think it's a testament to the people of the area that they kept these toys in the family for many years, and the kids appreciated what they had. Work hard, play hard.
